Soccer Stats In Excel

Soccer Data in Excel
Premier League Stats

I have been collecting soccer stats for a while.   My goal is to compile soccer stats in an easy to read, easy to sort, easy to filter and easy to analyze Excel format.  We will start with soccer stats from the English Premier League and Championship League. Overtime, we will expand to other soccer leagues.

The follow data is included in the spread data:

  1. Player statistics.
  2. Team statistics, sorted by teams and sorted by fixture.
  3. Lineup of every completed league games, sorted by player and sorted by fixture.
  4. Plays (including goals, cards and subs) of every completed league games, sorted by player and sorted fixture.
  5. League table
  6. List of game results and upcoming fixtures. The list also includes matches outside the Premier League, including Champions League, Europa League, EFL Cups, Pre-Season Friendlies, etc.

The Soccer Stats Excel Spread Sheet is free for download.  The primary source of the data is from the ESPN sports data API.  My intention is to update the Soccer Data Excel Spread Sheet on a weekly basis during the soccer season.

  1. Hi! Do you have any plans to compile spreadsheets for previous seasons? I’m looking to do something similar for myself though a lot simpler with less data, I’m just struggling to source it.

    1. So far, the spreadsheets for previous seasons are available for download. For instance, for the Premier League, I have spreadsheets dates back to the 2019/20 season. This is when I started. I don’t have spreadsheets before the 2019/20 season.

  2. Thank you. I am learning Data Analytics. It was hard for me to relate to a lot of data I am practicing with. As I love Premier League, it will be a fantastic set of data to play around with.

  3. how do you source your data if you don’t mind me asking.
I am looking to get raw data like you have for multiple leagues.
With the intent to load it into a database and calculate statistics from the data.

  4. good evening, could you have an excel sheet for the Serie A championship that you can update in the manual or updated by you?
